We hope you all had a restful and re-energising break and, after all of the trials and tribulations of 2009, are ready to make 2010 a better year than last. SOL SPECIAL Summer is starting to warm up at last so the Mexican Café has decided to celebrate the SUN with a great offer on SOL, a Mexican Beer that shares its name . All through February come on up to the Mexican Café and get 4 ice cold SOL in a bucket for $25.00. The perfect summer thirst quencher DINNER SPECIALS Abel has added a delicious range of summer food specials to the menu. Chicken Taquitos, 6 pieces of bite-sized, coriander-infused chicken wrapped in a crisp corn tortilla served with a chipotle chilli dipping sauce and guacamole $11.50, Fish Tacos, fish of the day in the Mexican Café's own beer batter served inside two folded corn tortillas with lime-infused mayo and salsa fresca $22.00, and Banana Borracho (drunken banana) no description necessary $9.50 VALENTINES DAY Valentines Day is on Sunday the 14th of February and the Mexican Café invites all of you lovers out there to bring your partners to the restaurant and show how much you care. We will have special decorations, drink specials and a chance to go in the draw to win one of a choice of three romantic prizes - all for two - naturally. We are taking reservations for groups of two and up, but places are filling fast. So don't delay. EXHIBITION d' ELEMARIA Elemaria, as you probably know, was one of the founders of the Mexican Café nearly thirty years ago. Now she cordially invites you to attend an exhibition of her new works of textile paintings. This will be held for one night only at the Onehunga Community House, 83 Selwyn St, Onehunga, from 5 PM till 7:30 PM on the 18th of February.
